- In einem weiteren Schreiben an den Österreichischen Skiverband spricht Erwin Mehl die finanzielle Situation Zdarskys an. So sei die nach dem Lawinenunfall und der Verkrüppelung bezogene Pension nach dem Ende der Monarchie stark gekürzt worden. Eine Erhöhung sei nur nach Ansuchen von Zdarsky möglich, was dieser aber ablehne. Erwähnt wird auch, dass der neu auf der Marmolata eingeführte Riesenslalom nichts anderes als die Rückkehr zur Urform des zdarskyschen Torlaufes sei.
